ADDING SOME CHARACTER

SUMMARY

After growing from a small UK start-up based in York to a billion dollar San Francisco business, Anaplan were looking at creating a handbook for staff to share their history, passion and expectations as a company.

Working with them, I helped to develop characters to represent key offices from the UK and the US. Once finalised I directed and designed their handbook and additional merchandise that was given away with the launch of the book.

FROM HUMANS TO ANIMALS AND FROM MONSTERS TO ROBOTS; WE EXPLORED A HUGE VARIETY OF POTENTIAL CHARACTERS IN ORDER TO FIND THE PERFECT MASCOTS TO REPRESENT THE ANAPLAN BRAND.

EACH CHARACTER REPRESENTS ONE OF THE CITIES THAT KEY OFFICES ARE BASED IN, WITH SUBTLE CLUES TO THEIR LOCATION WITHIN THE DESIGN.

THE PROJECT PROVED SO SUCCESSFUL THAT WE NOT ONLY PRODUCED THE ORIGINAL HANDBOOK, BUT ALSO APPAREL, POSTCARDS, STICKERS AND VARIOUS OTHER TAKEAWAY ITEMS FOR STAFF.
