I’m Dan Bailey – an independent designer and illustrator helping brands communicate clearly through design, illustration and storytelling.

With a career spanning more than two decades – from leading London agency teams to working within in-house studios – I believe that bold character and strong storytelling are what give design its impact. Considered, crafted visuals don’t just look good; they help people understand who you are and why it matters.

The Story of Rubber Penguin

Rubber Penguin grew out of a desire to work differently. After years in the agency world, I moved back towards independence – seeking more freedom, more family time and the chance to focus on work that genuinely mattered to me.

Today, I partner with brands and agencies who want to stand out for the right reasons. Whether I’m shaping a brand, developing a campaign or bringing an idea to life, every project is rooted in curiosity and a drive to find the most meaningful way to tell a story. While my work has picked up the occasional industry award along the way, the goal is always the same: doing great work for people who care about the details.
